New insights on the nature of the chemical species involved during the process of dopamine deprotonation in aqueous solution: Theoretical and experimental study
Article Abstract:
Density functionals theory is used to assess the nature of chemical species and the pathway involved in the dopamine deprotonation in an aqueous solution theoretically, as well as experimentally. The various NMR shifts calculated for the experiments by using several different methods were well in agreement with each other and hence confirmed the proposed deprotonation pathway involved in the process.

Fabrication of protein-conjugated silver sulfide nanorods in the bovine serum albumin solution
Article Abstract:
A facile, controllable synthesis of semiconductor (Ag.sub.2)S nanorods are reported in the Bovine Serum Albumin aqueous solution at room temperature. The exploitation of a common protein to prepare the protein-conjugated nanorods provides a novel pathway for biomodified nanomaterials.
