Numerical and analytical studies of the electrical conductivity of a concentrated colloidal suspension

Article Abstract:

The numerical conductivity predictions are studied and compared with results obtained using different analytical formulas valid for arbitrary zeta potentials and thin double layers for each of the two common sets of boundary conditions. The experimental data shows that the Neumann, either numerical or analytical, approach is unable to make predictions in agreement with experiments, unlike the Dirichlet approach which correctly predicts the experimental conductivity results.

Charge-tunable optical properties in colloidal semiconductor nanocrystals

Article Abstract:

Photoluminescence (PL), ultraviolet (UV) and infrared studies of n-type and negatively charged colloidal semiconductor nanocrystals, which are prepared by electron injection from a reducing species is presented. The results indicate that the single-electron switching of photoluminescence may be feasible with improved core/shell structures of semiconductor nanocrystals.

Light emission and application in charged CdSe quantum dots

Article Abstract:

Photoluminescence of CdSe colloidal quantum dots were observed in the neutral and one-electron and two electron reduced states. The photoluminescence of doubly charged nanocrystals showed emission from both P and S excitons with similar intensity.
