Numerical approach for optically limited pulse transmission in polymer-phthalocyanine composite systems
Article Abstract:
A method is presented to access the nonlinear absorptive response of a reverse saturable system based on two parameters that allow a quantitative determination of the optical response without the necessity for time-resolved measurements. High quality, relatively smooth, polymer-phthalocyanine composite films are demonstrated and they have grown thicker using multi-layer spin casting where the composites were prepared with PMMA as the host.

Carbon nanotube network formation from evaporating sessile drops
Article Abstract:
The fabrication of single-walled carbon nanotube (SWNT) networks by using the evaporation of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS)-SWNT sessile drops on a hydrophobized silicon substrate is described. The sessile drops are analyzed by contact analysis and video microscopy and their evaporation are characterized by microscopic, spectroscopic and topographical methods.

Characterization of covalent functionalized carbon nanotubes
Article Abstract:
The evidence of the chemical bond formed between carbon nanotubes and a (super 13)C-labeled molecule is presented. The signals for the linkage between terephthalic acid and multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWNT) are assigned with the use of (super 1)H and (super 13)C nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and 2-dimensional correlation spectrum.
