On the surface of vanadium oxide supported on aluminas: UV and visible Raman spectroscopy, UV-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, and temperature-programmed reduction studies

Article Abstract:

Vanadia species on aluminas with surface VO(sub x) density in the range 0.01-14.2 V/nm(super 2) is characterized by UV and visible Raman spectroscopy, UV-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy and temperature-programmed reduction in hydrogen. A demonstration that the alumina phase has little influence on the structure and reducibility of surface VO(sub x) species under either dehydrated or hydrated condition.

UV-Raman characterization of iron peroxo adsorbates on Fe/MFI catalyst with high activity for NO(sub x) reduction

Article Abstract:

The interaction of O2 with Fe supported on zeolite MFI is investigated by the in situ UV Raman technique. In situ Raman data indicate that absorbed peroxide ions, O2(super 2-), are formed on the same catalysts with FE/Al = 1 even at 300 K.

Bacterially produced manganese oxide and todorokite: UV Raman spectroscopic comparison

Article Abstract:

The assignment of Raman bands for todorokite mineral is presented. The mutual exclusion principal that should hold good for all MnO2 materials studied are discussed.
