Opening mechanism of internal nanoporosity of single-wall carbon nanohorn

Article Abstract:

Single-wall carbon nanoburn (SWNH), which is a tubular particle with a cone cap, is oxidized in an oxygen flow at various temperatures. The specific surface area of the oxidized SWNHs could be controlled by oxidation temperature, giving the maximum value of 1420 m(super 2)/g.

Quantum sieving effect of modified activated carbon fibers on [H.sub.2] and [D.sub.2] adsorption at 20 K

Article Abstract:

Quantum sieving of activated carbon fibers (ACFs) and their fluorides was observed for [H.sub.2] and [D.sub.2] adsorption at 20 K. The [D.sub.2]/[H.sub.2] selectivity of ACFs evaluated by ideal adsorption solution theory was larger than that of the fluorinated ACFs.

Uniform mesopore-donated zeolite Y using carbon aerogel templating

Article Abstract:

Zeolite Y of mesoporous channels is synthesized using novel mesoporous of carbon aerogels as template. The mesoporous structure of the Zeolite can be controlled by a proper preparation method of carbon aerogel template.
