Optical cavity effects in ZnO nanowire laser and waveguides

Article Abstract:

The polarization of the simulated and spontaneous emission has been described for a variety of ZnO nanowires with different sizes. The wavelength of the emitted light and the directional coupling of the photoluminescence (PL) are the factors on which the waveguiding behavior of individual zinc oxide (ZnO) nanowires is depended.

Near-field scanning optical microscopy (NSOM) studies of the relationship between interchain interactions, morphology, photodamage, and energy transport in conjugated polymer films

Article Abstract:

The optical and electrical properties of conjugated polymer films are studied by using Near-field scanning optical microscopy (NSOM). The results show the correlation between the surface topography and the local chain packing and electronic properties of the conjugated polymer film.

Controlling interchain interactions in conjugated polymers: the effects of chain morphology on exciton-exciton annihilation and aggregation in MEH-PPV films

Article Abstract:

Issues concerning the photophysics of conjugated polymer films in which interchain species exist are presented. It has been possible to obtain more information about the optimization of conjugated polymer films for particular device applications.
