Oriented long ingle walled carbon nanotubes on substrates from floating catalysts

Article Abstract:

A method to prepare long and well-oriented SWNTs on substrates in large scale is prepared by applying a floating catalyst chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process. It is seen that SWNTs can be cut and patterned using photolithography and water plasma etching techniques, offering a way to prepare patterned SWNTs with controllable orientation, density, and lengths for various applications.

Hydrogen adsorption on carbon-doped boron nitride nanotube

Article Abstract:

A study of the adsorption of atomic and molecular hydrogen on carbon-doped boron nitride nanotubes is conducted within the ab initio density functional theory. The binding energy of adsorbed hydrogen on carbon-doped boron nitride nanotube is substantially increased when compared with hydrogen on nondoped nanotube.

Molecular dynamics simulations on the effects of diameter and chirality on hydrogen adsorption in single walled carbon nanotubes

Article Abstract:

A systematic molecular dynamics simulation study of hydrogen storage in single walled carbon nanotubes of various diameters and chiralities was described. The simulation results indicate strong dependence of hydrogen adsorption energies on the nanotube diameter but less dependence on the chirality.
