Phase transformations in bulk nanostructured potassium niobiosilicate glasses
Article Abstract:
The phase transformations occurring in potassium niobiosilicate (KNS) glasses upon annealing at the glass transition temperature and subsequent heating are assessed. High-temperature resolved X-ray diffraction (HTXRD) is used for tracking nanostructuring and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) is used for imaging the nanostructures of KNS glasses.

Nanobelt formation of magnesium hydroxide sulfate hydrate via a soft chemistry process
Article Abstract:
The nanobelt formation of magnesium hydroxide sulfate hydrate (MHSH) through a soft chemistry approach using carbonate salt and magnesium sulfate as reactants is reported. The formation process of the MHSH nanobelts is analyzed by tracking the morphology of the MHSH nanobelts during the reaction and a possible chemical reaction mechanism is proposed.
