Photoinduced charge separation of N-alkylphenothiazines in X zeolites

Article Abstract:

Transition metal ion containing X and A microporous materials are investigated for the photoionization of N-alkylphenothiazine (PC(sub n)) with 320 nm irradiation at room temperature. Results reveal that the metal ion-exchanged zeolites ac as efficient hosts for stabilizing PC(sub 1)(super +) cations radicals at room temperature.

Effect of charge stabilization on electron transfer reactions in zeolites

Article Abstract:

Fluorescent quenching and transient absorption spectroscopy are used to examine photo induced charge transfer reactions between adsorbed pyrene and N, N- dimethylaniline (DMA) in zeolites. The findings state that a significant amount of reorganization energy is required to promote charge transfer reactions in ionic zeolites.

Photoinduced aziridination reaction sensitized by PbO(sub x)-modified zeolite

Article Abstract:

A photoinduced aziridination reaction sensitized by lead-oxide-containing zeolite colloids (NaY/PbO(sub x)) is reported. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and electrochemical characterizations revealed that the contained lead oxide is firmly deposited on the host and behaves like an n-type semiconductor.
