Postsynthesis hydrothermal restructuring of M41S mesoporous molecular sieves in water

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to analyze the characterization of a high-quality Si-MCM-41 supporting the composition of SiO2, O.2; TEAOH, 0.25; CTMABr, 35 in water. Fumed silica was utilized as the silica source in carrying out analysis. Results indicated the effectiveness of the postsynthesis water treatment technique in preparing M41S molecular sieves with the pore size controllable by changing the treatment time or temperature.

Magic-angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance under ultrahigh field reveals two forms of intermolecular interaction within CH2Cl2-treated (3 (super 1) R)-type bacteriochlorophyll c solid aggregate

Article Abstract:

Two sets of resonances were observed for carbons and nitrogens by 2-D NMR measurements and the two major fractions denoted by types A and B are identified. It 8is proposed that the CH2Cl2 precipitate represents a structural intermediate between the antiparallel dimer and the parallel stack as found in the chlorosome.

Comment on "(sub 27)Al multiple-quantum magic angle spinning NMR study of the thermal transformation between microporous aluminum

Article Abstract:

The use of the technique (super 27)AI five -quantum (5Q) MAS NMR in the analysis of the thermal transformation of AIMepO-beta into AIMepO-alpha in the presence of water vapor by Brown and co-workers is being questioned. Another possible explanation to the interpretation of the result is attempted.
