Reaction dynamics of excited ketoprofen with triethylamine

Article Abstract:

A combination of the laser flash photolysis and the pump-probe emission spectroscopy is employed to analyze the reaction dynamics of ketoprofen (KP) with and without triethylamine (TEA) in methanol in its ground, as well as the excited states. The results show that the formation ability of ethylbenzophenone ketyl biradical (EBPH) is much smaller than that of the benzophenone ketyl radical (BPH), which demonstrates the effect of ethyl radical substitution on the charge distribution.

Triplet formation of 4-thiothymidine and its photosensitization to oxygen studied by time-resolved thermal lensing technique

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to investigate the excited state dynamics of 4-thiothymidine ([S.sub.4]-TdR) and its photosensitization to molecular oxygen in solution with UVA irradiation. The photosensitization from triplet ([S.sub.4]-TdR) has given rise to singlet oxygen [O.sub.2] with a quantum yield of 0.50 in the presence of molecular oxygen.

Excited-state interactions in flurbiprofen-tryptophan dyads

Article Abstract:

A systematic fluorescence and laser-flash photolysis study on several model dyads that contain the chromophores of flurbiprofen (FBP) and tryptophan (Trp) which are the relevant amino acids present in site I of human serum albumin is presented.
