An electrochemical study of PCl3 and POCl3 in the room temperature ionic liquid [C4mpyrr][N(Tf)2]
Article Abstract:
The electrochemistry of PCl3 and POCl3 is studied by cyclic voltammetry on gold microelectrode in the ionic liquid [C4mpyrr][N(Tf)2] (1-butyl-1-methylpyrrolidinium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonly)imide). Results reveal that the diffusion of PCl3 is usually slow (3.1 x [10.sup.-12] [m.sup.2][s.sup.-1].

Article Abstract:
The effects of water migration on the behavior of displacement of perfluorinated ionomer-platinum/Li-based actuators are examined. Results reveal a dramatic enhancement in both forward and reverse displacements due to humidity.
