Guest-host interactions in as-made Al-ZSM-12: implications for the synthesis of zeolite catalysts
Article Abstract:
A study of as-made all-silica zeolites has shown the presence of strong Coulombic forces between cationic structure-directing agents and charge-compensating defect sites. The findings are consistent with a model where the framework aluminium is directly linked with the charge centre of the structure-directing agent.

UTM-1: an eight-membered ring zeolite with the basic building chains of the MFI topology
Article Abstract:
The authors discuss the structure of zeolite UTM-1 determined from the synchrotron X-ray powder diffraction pattern. Results demonstrate the difference between zeolites UTM-1 and ZSM-5 caused by the way the chains have been assembled.
