Rohm and Haas expands in India, but closes US plant

Article Abstract:

Rohm and Haas is opening a second facility in India and doubling its capacity in the first facility to increase its over capacity for acrylic emulsions threefold. It has also restructured, which led to the closure of a US facility and the retrenchment of around 200 jobs. The features of the new facility and its restructuring activity are discussed.
