Segmental dynamics and ionic conduction in poly (vinyl methyl ether)-lithium perchlorate complexesdd

Article Abstract:

Broadband dielectric spectroscopy is used to investigate the segmental dynamics and ionic conduction in lithium perchlorate(sub 4) / poly vinyl methyl ether complexes with Li/O from 0.1/100 to 10/100, at the temperatures from T(sub g) to approximately T(sub g)+80 degree Celsius. The strong correlation between the ionic conduction and the slow segmental relaxation supports the idea that hopping from one segment to another is probably giving rise to macroscopic conduction.

Lithium ion salvation in room-temperature ionic liquids involving bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl) imide anion studied by Raman spectroscopy and DFT calculations

Article Abstract:

The salvation structure of the lithium ion in room-temperature ionic liquids 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl) imide and N-butyl-N-methylpyrrolidinium bis(trifluoromethane-sulfonyl) imide is studied using Raman spectroscopy and DFT calculations. It is seen that the [C.sub.1] (cis) conformer is preferred in the vicinity of the lithium ion.

Broadband dielectric investigation on 2,6-dihydroxynaphthalene/poly(vinyl ehtyl ether) mixtures

Article Abstract:

Dielectric relaxation spectroscopy (DRS) is used to investigate the relaxation dynamics of 2,6-dihyroxynaphthalene and poly(vinyl ethyl ether) (DHN/PVEE), containing 1-20 wt per cent DHN. The excellent matching of the cooperative segmental relaxations of the two components can be achieved through suitable intercomponent interactions.
