Short-range ferroelectric order induced by proton transfer-mediated ionicity
Article Abstract:
Short-range ferroelectric order is postulated to explain unusual one-dimensional dielectric response in ferroelectric 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane. The phenomenon arising from a self-discrimination of the crystal ionic structure strongly resembles the behavior of ferroelectric relaxors induced by an artificial compositional disorder.

Formation of ferroelectric domains observed in simulation of droplets of dipolar particles
Article Abstract:
The studies have shown that the domains of ordered dipoles are formed in large droplets made from dipolar particles if the dipole-dipole interaction between nearest neighbors is larger than the thermal energy. The results have shown that different boundary conditions have yielded different long-range order for dipolar liquids.

Planar or nonplanar: what is the structure of urea in aqueous solution?
Article Abstract:
A study employs a combined quantum chemical statistical mechanical method to analyze the structure of urea in an aqueous solution. The planar or the non-planar nature of the compound is not yet well-defined.
