X-ray diffraction study on aqueous scandium(III) perchlorate and chloride solutions over the temperature range -45 to 95 degrees C
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze aqueous scandium(III) perchlorate and chloride solutions in the temperature range -45 to 95 degrees C. The solutions were made by dissolving Sc2O3 in either concentrated HCl or HClO4 aqueous solutions. The Rigaku 0-0 type diffractometer was utilized to carry out x-ray diffraction measurements. Experimental results indicated the presence of solvent-separated ion pairs in the aqueous perchlorate solutions.

Raman spectra and transport properties of lithium perchlorate in ethylene carbonate based binary solvent systems for lithium batteries
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze electrolyte solutions formed through the addition of lithium perchlorate to a binary solvent mixture. The mixture was determined by mixing ethylene carbonate with propylene carbonate, diethyl carbonate or dimethyl carbonate. The solvents were stored over molecular sieves to minimize residual measure. Experimental results indicated that the addition of high fluidity solvents improved the ionic motion.
