Structural basis of fluorescence fluctuation dynamics of green fluorescent proteins in acidic environments
Article Abstract:
Time-resolved fluorescence and polarization anisotropy measurements are used to present experimental evidence indicating that the conformational change in the protein [beta]-barrel is a determining step for the external protonation of green fluorescent protein (GFP)-S65T (at low pH). The results have indicated that conformational rearrangement of the [beta]-barrel and the amino acids surrounding the embedded chromophore is a rate-determining step for external proton transfer and cis/trans isomerization as nonradiative pathways that underlie fluorescence blinking of GFP mutants in an acidic environment.

Nanocomposite multilayer film of preyssler-type polyoxometalates with fine tunable electrocatalytic activities
Article Abstract:
Layer-by-layer (LBL) self-assembly technique was used to fabricate the nanocomposite multiplayer films of Preyssler-type polyanion cluster P5W30 and Fe3O4 nanoparticles, on various substrates. pH levels of assembly solution in the LBL process were adjusted to find out the electrochemical behaviors of these multilayer films.
