Structure-directing role of molecule containing benzyl rings in the synthesis of a large-pore aluminophosphate molecular sieve: An experimental and computational study

Article Abstract:

A study to describe the synthesis of aluminophosphate (AlPO-5) and silicoaluminophosphate (SAPO-5) material (AFI topology) using five different tertiary amines or quaternary ammonium ions containing one or two benzyl rings as structure-directing agents was conducted. The results of atomic modeling revealed that the templates of benzyl ring self-assemble in the main AFI channel forming dimers with the benzyl ring parallel to each other.

Existence of colloidal primitive building units exhibiting memory effects in zeolite growth compositions

Article Abstract:

The study aims on clear, stable mother liquors obtained after completion of crystallization of nanocrystalline sodalite, zeolite A, and zeolite Y. It is observed that during nanocrystalline zeolite synthesis, there are specific primary particles throughout the crystalline process that can grow to form viable nuclei if provided with a source of nutrients.

Influence of the counterion on the local environment and electronic structure of active sites in zeotypes

Article Abstract:

Effect of different extra framework ions on the properties of Al(super 3+) and Fe(super 3+) is examined. Doped AIPOS are expected to have pronounced acidity properties than zeolites.
