Structure pf Ni(II) and Ru(II) ammine complexes grafted onto mesoporous silicate sieve

Article Abstract:

The ion exchange of Ni and Ru ammine complexes from basic aqueous solution results in covalent attachment of isolated metal centers in the pores of MCM-41 with minimal interference of cluster formation is reported. The formation of layered Ni silicate structures, a dominant product in the Ni grafted amorphous silica was not observed.

Selective modification of the channel entrances of zeolite L with triethoxysilylated Coumarin

Article Abstract:

The insertion of a triethoxysilylated coumarin dye into the channels of zeolite L from CH2Cl2 is examined. The insertion process leads to a selective modification of the zeolite L channel entrances through the formation of covalent siloxane bonds between dye and zeolite upon refluxing in toulene.

Structure of the silica phase extracted from silica/(TPA)OH solutions containing nanoparticles

Article Abstract:

Subcolloidal particles of a few nanometers in diameter are analyzed during the clear-solution synthesis of silicate-1. A poorly defined particle shape is suggested in the result of the research.
