Studies on metallofullerene (Dy@C(sub 82) embedded in a DDAB film in aqueous solution

Article Abstract:

The electrochemical behavior of metallofullerene in didodecyldimethylammonium bromide (DDAB) films deposited on glassy carbon, quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) gold crystals, and indium tin oxide (ITO) in aqueous solution was investigated. It showed that the anions were bound to the DDA(super +) cation in the film, while the anions of electrolyte diffused into the film to compensate the positive charges when a cation of was generated.

Electrochemical design of ultrathin platinum-coated gold nanoparticle monolayer films as a novel nanostructured electrocatalyst for oxygen reduction

Article Abstract:

A novel electrochemical strategy to nanoparticle-based catalyst design using the recently developed underpotential deposition (UPD) redox replacement technique is presented. The results demonstrate the ultrathin Pt coating effects efficiently and behaves as the nanostructured monometallic Pt for electrocatalystic oxygen reduction, and shows size-dependent, tunable electrocatalytic ability.

Preparation, characterization, and photoelectrochemistry of Langmuir-Blodgett films of the endohedral metallofullerene Dy@C(sub 82) mixed with metallophthalocyanines

Article Abstract:

The preparation, characterization, and photoelectrochemical properties of LB films of Dy@C (sub 82) mixed with metallophthylacyanine (Dy@C(sub 82)/MPc) are reported. The report revealed dramatic in the photoelectric response for the different Dy@C(sub 82)/MPc.
