Synthesis of TS-I molecular sieve using a new Ti source
Article Abstract:
The incorporation of Ti in the MFI structure using easy to handle source, the hexafluorotitanic acid, is successfully achieved without the formation of cominant phases. In comparison with the traditionally used tetraethyl orthotitanate and tetraethyl orthosilicate, this method presents the advantages of low cost and stability of the reagents as they do not undergo hydrolysis when exposed to air.

Detecting the effect of very low amounts of penetrants in lipid bilayers using Raman spectroscopy
Article Abstract:
A demonstration that the effect of very low concentrations of penetrants in lipid bilayers could be experimentally seen in the Raman spectra is conducted by influence on the gauche content in the acyl chains. The results reveal that the observed effects suggest increased order and are in accordance with previous X-ray diffraction and calorimetric data.

Kinetic coupled with UV spectral evidence for near-irreversible nonionic micellar binding of N-benzylphthalimide under the typical reaction conditions: an observation against a major assumption of the pseudophase micellar model
Article Abstract:
The [C.sub.16][E.sub.20] and [C.sub.16][E.sub.10] micellar-mediated alkaline hydrolysis of N-benzylphthalimide carried out by comparing a nonionizable and more hydrophobic imide with phthalimide is demonstrated.
