Synthesis of magnetic intermetallic FeAl nanoparticles from a non-magnetic bulk alloy

Article Abstract:

The synthesis of intermetallic FeAl nanoparticles that were ferromagnetic above room temperature as compared to the bulk crystalline and nonmagnetic material, using laser vaporization controlled condensation technique and a detailed characterization that supports the identification of the nanocrystalline phase and composition is reported.

Global tuning of local molecular phenomena: An alternative approach to bionanoelectronics

Article Abstract:

Simultaneous horizontal and vertical bias to a single molecule is applied in an ordered and disordered matrix to virtually isolate and tune its property without taking it out physically from its environment. Tuning of molecular conformations in room temperature, whose evolution of states is statistically investigated is reported.

Scanning tunneling microscopy study of alanes/Al(111): contrasting neat and molecularly-terminated W tips

Article Abstract:

Scanning microscopy is proved to be a very powerful method for real space imaging of molecules on surfaces. It is demonstrated how the morphological and chemical structure of the tunneling tip alters the apparent topography of STM images.
