Electron paramagnetic resonance investigations of Lanthanide-doped barium titanate: dopant site occupancy
Article Abstract:
Air-fired barium titanate samples doped with cerium, neodymium, samarium, gadolinium, dysprosium, erbium, or ytterbium were examined by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR). The lanthanide dopant's effect on the observed levels of titanium vacancies, barium vacancies and Mn2+ impurities.

Excited-state dynamics and sequential two-photon upconversion excitation of Mo(sub 3+)-doped chloro- and bromo-elpasolites
Article Abstract:
The photophysical properties of Mo(sub 3+)-doped chloro-and bromo-elpasolites at 10K and as a function of temperature are described. The upconversion properties of Mo(sub 3+) presented here reflect the rich photophysics of this ion.
