Toxicological effects of nanoparticles on human cells
Article Abstract:
There is experimental evidence that ambient air particles have effects on health, and several epidemiological studies have indicated that fine and ultrafine particles are greater risk factors for respiratory problems than coarse particles. In vitro test systems designed for the workplace were used to study the potential risks of nanoparticles. Data based on WST-1, DHR, and CBA assays reveal that nanoparticles pose an occupational risk.
