Vibrational properties and lateral interactions of the (2*2)-(O+CO) coadsorbate layer on Ru(001)

Article Abstract:

The (2*2)-(O+CO) coadsorbate is investigated using highly resolved electron energy loss spectroscopy. The layer is characterized by CO-derived vibrations to the frustrated translation parallel to the surface, its first overtone, the frustrated translation perpendicular to the surface, the frustrated rotation, and the internal C-O stretch mode.

Transient infrared characterization of oxygen storage capability of Ce-Pd/Al2O3 catalyst during NO-CO reaction

Article Abstract:

Oxygen storage and its effects on the adsorbates during NO-CO reaction are studied by sequential pulsing of CO/O2/CO into an NO-CO reactant stream over Pd/Al2O3 and Ce-Pd/Al2O3 catalysts. The findings indicate that the presence of ceria minimized the impact of O2 and CO on the adsorbates over the Ce-Pd/Al2O3 catalyst at 673 K.

Multiplicative temperature noise applied to a bistable surface reaction: Experiment and theory

Article Abstract:

The consequences of multiplicative temperature noise (MTN) on the kinetics of the reaction CO+O2->CO2 on an Ir(111) single-crystal surface are studied. The study concluded that the reaction-diffusion equations give a realistic description of the reaction considered.
