Conjugated macromolecules of precise length and constitution. Organic synthesis for the construction of nanoarchitectures
Article Abstract:
Oligomers and polymers are gaining significant attention for their potential use in medicine and industry. However, lack of information on new synthetic methodologies has limited the architectures of polymers to those produced by traditional synthetic methods. This review focuses on recent progress in synthetic approaches for the construction of conjugated oligomers and polymers with precisely controlled length, size and shape. The discussion presents the controlled and noncontrolled synthetic approaches to conjugated macromolecules.

Dendrimers in supramolecular chemistry: from molecular recognition to self- assembly
Article Abstract:
Dendrimers are a new class of macromolecules with unique structures and properties. They are constructed from ABn monomers and were synthesized in an iterative fashion. The use of dendrimers in molecular recognition and self-assembling systems, two important aspects of supramolecular chemistry were investigated. It was observed that the novel architecture of dendrimers can serve as a versatile platform for host-guests interactions.
