Naturally occurring cyclohexane epoxides: sources, biological activities and synthesis
Article Abstract:
Naturally occurring epoxy cyclohexane derivatives isolated from various organisms such as fungi, bacteria, worms and mushrooms displays interesting pharmacological and biological properties, such as antibiotic, antibacterial, and antitumor activities. It is revealed that hexane epoxides represent an important class of compounds, which can be implement elegant strategies for the introduction of relevant functionalities in regio and stereoselective manners.
