Molecularly imprinted polymers and their use in biomimetic sensors
Article Abstract:
Biomimetic receptor systems that bind target molecules with affinities and specificities comparable to the natural receptors are an alternative to the biomolecules employed in the design of sensors. Molecular imprinting of polymers in sensors and their application with reference to the physical forms of imprinted polymers, transducers and their interrelationships are discussed.

Conjugated polymer-based chemical sensors
Article Abstract:
Research on sensory systems has demonstrated that conjugated polymers are very useful platforms for coupling analyte receptor interactions to observable transducible responses. The focus of the review is on the structure and type of recognition element, the target analyte, biological sensors, and conjugated polymers in the design of the systems.
