Probing transient molecular structures in photochemical processes using laser-initiated time-resolved X-ray absorption spectroscopy
Article Abstract:
Laser-initiated time-resolved X-ray absorption spectroscopy (LITR-XAS) and recent developments in pulsed X-ray facilities allow structural determination of discrete excited states and reaction intermediates. Recent developments in the field, including technical and scientific challenges are summarized.

Time-dependent density functional theory
Article Abstract:
Time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT) can be considered as an exact reformulation of time-dependent quantum mechanics. Several application of TDDFT along with its overview from theoretical foundations are detailed.

Density-functional theory for complex fluids
Article Abstract:
The density functional theory (DFT) is applied to calculate the free energy of complex fluids. The dynamic properties of complex fluids and phase transition kinetics are studied on the basis of density functional theory.
