Synthesis and reactivity of sp(super 3)-geminated organodimetallics
Article Abstract:
The addition of allylzinc bromide on substituted vinyl Grignard reagents leads to the synthesis of organo-gem-dimetallic species. Gem-lithio-alanes and -boranes allow sequential alkylation and cyclization reactions. The resulting alane and borane are a source for hydroxy functions. The compounds give metal substituted cyclopropanes with an unique geometry. The transformation of nucleophilic organometallic species to another, through an electrophilic carbenoid, allows monoalkylation of organo-gem-dimetallics.

Principles of mononucleating and binucleating ligand design
Article Abstract:
The design, preparation, and structure of bimetallic complexes bearing a variety of bridging ligands are presented. The study of the topologies of monometallic complexes was based on the principles that can be transferred for the construction of binucleating ligands.
