Synthesis of heterocycles via Palladium Pi-olefin and Pi-alkyne chemistry
Article Abstract:
The Pd (II) catalyzed cyclization of olefins and alkynes bearing various oxygen- and nitrogen- containing functional groups provides a very valuable method for synthesis of a wide variety of heterocycles. The study shows that the resulting heterocyclic organopalladium intermediate can undergo a variety of very useful further transformations, including hydride elimination, protonolysis, or CO or alkene insertion.

Carbon-carbon coupling reactions catalyzed by heterogeneous palladium catalysts
Article Abstract:
An insight is provided into the state of art in the field of the application of heterogeneous catalysts in coupling reactions to synthetic chemists. Catalysts are covered that are used as solids and are not soluble in the reaction mixture, regardless of whether the acting catalytic palladium species is homogeneous or heterogeneous.
