Tandem Diels-Alder cycloadditions in organic synthesis
Article Abstract:
Organic chemistry utilizes a number of methods for the construction of complex compounds. Cycloadditions are tandem reactions, or, two reactions that follow one another. They are classified as interrupted and uninterrupted cycloaddition reactions, which are distinguished by the presence of intervening steps. This review focuses on tandem cycloaddition Diels-Alder reactions of bicyclic bis-dienes to produce a variety of polycyclic ring systems. The chemistry of these reactions is described.

Tandem [4+2]/[3+2] cycloadditions of nitroalkenes
Article Abstract:
Tandem reactions are transformations that result in complex systems with increased synthetic efficiency. Cascade or domino reactions and multicomponent cyclizations are examples of tandem reactions. This review focuses on tandem cascade cycloadditions of nitroalkenes for the construction of highly functionalized nitrogen-containing heterocycles. The discussion also includes tandem [4+2]/[3+2] cycloadditions involving other functional groups.

Cascade processes of metallo carbenoids
Article Abstract:
Transition metal-based tandem reactions are finding wide application in organic chemistry because of their potential to provide a new synthetic pathway for the construction of complex organic molecules. This review focuses on the use of intermediate rhodium carbenoids to the selective formations of polycyclic structures with high levels of stereoselectivity and high reactivity.
