And now, Tillamook ... the fastest mobile processor from Intel
Article Abstract:
The latest Pentium MMX microprocessor from Intel, called in the interim "Tillamook," is a superfast 233MHz CPU that is being installed in portable computers from AST, Toshiba, Gateway and many other manufacturers. The new chip will aid engineers, architects, designers and others using CAD software. Those performing multimedia tasks or browsing the Web will also benefit from the increased speed. Tillamook is also fast enough to handle the future migration from Windows 95 to Windows NT, likely to be presented first in "Windows 98", or Memphis, due out the middle of 1998. The new chip is particularly attractive for saving money and power consumption. Intel's new 0.25-micron process to build the microprocessor places more chips on a single silicon wafer, reducing production costs. The new processors are also designed to use less electrical power, extending the battery life of portable PCs.

Worth a thousand words; or why YOU should have a digital camera
Article Abstract:
Digital camera technology has advanced significantly since 1994, and the declining price points of many models makes innovative photography an affordable option for an increasing number of consumers. A wide array of digital cameras are priced below $1,000, offering pixel rates between 320 x 240 and 640 x 480, and various software programs can be used to blend separate images, improve color and remove photographic blemishes. Digital cameras store images as computer files, and files can be transferred via E-mail to allow associates to view the same images. HTML page editor software is used to manipulate the images, which are generally created in the JPEG or GIF computer picture standards.
