Automatic Order Entry - with a Field Sales Order Entry Management System
Article Abstract:
The order entry process, if not handled correctly, can cost companies sales. A systems solution can be used to solve order entry problems. Level of service is so important in a competitive business environment, that often customers can only distinguish one company from another by the level of service. Personal computers, portable computers and teleprocessing can streamline the order processing system. Orders can be placed from remote locations like branch sales offices or the convention floor. Ten order entry management system features and benefits are summarized in chart form. System interrelations are illustrated in a diagram.

Attitude Problem
Article Abstract:
According to a survey by the Data Entry Management Association of Stanford, Connecticut, health problems connected to VDT use are caused by the way the machines are used, not caused by the VDTs. Of 491 operators and workers polled, the most frequent complaint was eyestrain followed by neck or backaches. Management is urged to make ergonomic changes starting by removing glare from VDT screens. Proper seating is needed as well. Management needs to change its attitude to reduce the health problems, that is, manage employees with more consideration.
