Easy Does It
Article Abstract:
United Technologies Communications Co. installed their UTX 1001M $400,000 fully digital integrated voice and data telecommunications system for the tenants of the One Columbus Plaza office building in Phoenix, Arizona. The system has several advantages for the tenants including itemized billing, no installation or disconnect charges, single button access to most telecommunications features, and adaptability with office computers for data transmission. Both the system's least-cost routing feature and tenant services, use of the same telephone system, enable the building's users to save money on their phone service.

Does Your Warehouse Gobble Your Manufacturing Profits?
Article Abstract:
A badly designed warehouse will eat up time and profits of a company. Inventory stacking systems can be poorly designed. They must have exactly measured aisles and tier bays to fit warehouse purposes. An automated system versus a forklift manual system is only right for certain applications, depending on the throughput of the warehouse. Heating, lighting, and power sources must also be cost effective. Photographs of a warehouse are included.
