Article Abstract:

Managers of traditional office may be able to improve the quality of work produced by practicing the project-by-project approach to administrative or non-manufacturing functions proposed by the Juran Institute. To be able to improve quality, needs of customers or employees should be defined in order to determine if current products meet those needs. The quality improvement program can be started independently, but training is required in quality principles and problem analysis.
