Home-use router connects four PCs to Internet
Article Abstract:
NEC Corp.'s Comstarz Router permits home users to link up to four computers to the Internet at the same time. The router, which costs 51,800 yen ($408) for the standard model and 58,800 yen ($463) for the model with the built-in digital service unit, uses an ISDN circuit to directly link a home computer network to the Internet. The Comstarz Router, which has an indicator lamp that signals the receipt of an electronic message, is also capable of connecting simultaneously with up to two pieces of communications devices, such as a phone or a fax machine.

Yashica Corp's 10.6-oz Samurai 1300DG digital still camera features an ergonomic and portable design, making it ideal for small and home office or personal use. Featuring an 8MB CompactFlash card, the digital still camera is capable of storing 160 images in the normal mode, 390 images in the economy mode, 10 images in the superfine mode and 40 images in the fine mode. Samurai 1300DG also adopts a 3X optical zoom, 1.3 million pixel 1/3-inch CCD and a fine-resolution lens.
