Sanyo Electric, Kodak take on joint development of full-color organic EL display
Article Abstract:
Sanyo Electric Company Ltd and Eastman Kodak Co are entering a strategic partnership. The alliance will involve the joint development, manufacture and the sales and marketing of organic electroluminescence (EL) displays. Kodak has already created different key technologies relating to the organic EL display such as film formation technology and the red, green and blue organic phosphor material. For its part, Sanyo has created a current-drive low-temperature polysilicon TFT driver circuit.

In U.S., Europe, Konica builds reputation on speedy copiers
Article Abstract:
Konica Corp has made succesful inroads in overseas markets with its high- speed copiers. In the US, the company has captured 65% of the market for copiers 40cpm and faster. In Europe, the company's share of the same market segment is 48%. An appreciating yen, meanwhile, is forcing the company to shift production of some of its low-end copiers to China, said Fumio Iwai, managing director and general manager at the Business Machine Headquarters.
