The Sperrylink Office System is an integrated system developed by Sperry Univac. It is designed for medium to large companies. The hardware, which is reviewed in the article consists of: (1) Desk station with display screen and keyboard; (2) Diskette drive; (3) Printers. The system features consist of: (1) Data terminal; (2) Word processor; (3) Electronic mailing; (4) Voice and calendar system; (5) Personal computer. The Sperrylink system can operate as a standalone system, link among a group of workers or interface to maintain computing and other office information processing services.

ASB 900 is a cost-effective telephone system designed for use by medium to large companies. It is part of Total System Concept, an information system developed by Anaconda-Ericsson Communications Division. The ASB 900 system is a flexible and versatile system capable of voice and data transmission. As indicated in the article, the ASB can be integrated with other systems to meet a user's needs. These other systems are: (1) Voice Store-and-Forward (VSF 1000); (2) Least Cost Routing (LCR); (3) Station Message Detail Recording (SMDR); (4) AVXA System 90 Office Automation.

The Paperless Office
Article Abstract:
Despite the investment in copiers, calculators and micrographic equipment, companies still must contend with a twenty per cent increase yearly in paper. At the same time, productivity is dropping. Information, storage and retrieval systems must solve the multiple problems of space, efficient indexing and distribution. Companies should turn to comprehensive systems that may involve new technology. Computer-assisted retrieval systems, data bases, graphics, scanners, digital communications and turnkey systems all will help to solve storage and retrieval problems.
