Switching hubs connect LANs, accommodate ATM

Article Abstract:

NEC Corp. offers the Mega Access MA25LU/4E, the Mega Access MA155LS/4E, and the Mega Access MA155LM/4e switching hubs that connect local area networks (LANs) and accommodate asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) technology. The Mega Access MA155LM/4e is equipped with an ATM interface, allowing connection with ATM switching hubs. The product can also pose as an inexpensive switching hub between networks using ATM and Ethernet protocols. The Mega Access MA25LU/4E and the Mega Access MA155LS/4E are both capable of accommodating mega-Link ATM service.

Flat, compact, PowerShot S10 boasts best camera characteristics

Article Abstract:

Canon Inc is launching PowerShot S10, the first model in its high-end S Series cameras. The camera is one of the smallest 2.1-megapixel digital cameras with a zoom lens but has a wide range of advanced functions and features. PowerShot S10 contains the DSP IC which enables high-speed signal processing. It also has five image modes that can be used for various shooting conditions, namely, Fast Shutter, Slow Shutter, Night Scene, Landscape and Black and White.

NEC's Tiny mobile computer offers speedy performance for many functions

Article Abstract:

NEC Corp. has launched the MC-R 510 mobile computer as the latest addition to its Mobile Gear II series. The product uses the Japanese version of the Windows CE operating system and features an 8.1 in color display, a 64-bit RISC CPU, a 56Kbps modem and an interface for digital phone connection. MC-R 510 also offers a 256-color super-twisted nematic LCD and operates up to 10 hours using the rechargeable lithium ion battery pack.
