Toshiba taps digital resources to cultivate pocket-fitting color camera
Article Abstract:
Toshiba Corp.'s PDR-2 digital still camera uses a 1/4-inch CMOS device and a SmartMedia card and has an image-capture device with 330,000 pixels. Toshiba packs the camera with an image-editing software and instructions contained in a CD-ROM. Upon recording the images, the user can view and edit the images by connecting the camera directly into the PC Card in a notebook computer, which will recognize it as a hard disc. PDR-2 has a maximum aperture of F2.8, a focal length of 4.9mm and mechanical shutters that automatically works at speeds from 1/8 to 1/1,000 of a second.

Sony Corp's KL-X9200 (M), an XGA-resolution LC data projection monitor that is proposed as an alternative to typical overhead projectors, enables users to make their presentations professional and more convincing.
