AT&T bills, upsells draw lawsuits, suspicions

The Attorneys general in Florida and Minnesota filed lawsuits against AT&T after consumers complained of deliberately sending incorrect bills to draw inbound calls and generate opportunities for upsells. AT&T said that the erroneous bills were a result of a combination of systems issue and that it is testing systems corrections to ensure flawless performance of billing capabilities.
