All politics is local, except for the USPS

The omnipresence of USPS imparts to it a political importance though it does not have political base anywhere to lobby its interests. Lobbying by the USPS is prohibited, and it has to depend on the personal whims of the politicians to have reform legislations introduced and passed. But as the saying goes, o all politics is local o the elected representatives are often pressurized to deal with local issues from where they have been elected in order to strengthen their vote bank.
