Designing Health Inc., which is a pet food supplement manufacturer, expects to get a 3% response for its new direct mail campaign. Designing Health, which sent out direct mail pieces to 5,000 veterinarians in three states, offered recipients a 90-day supply of its pet food supplement powder.

Cosmetics marketer modifies strategy in light of anthrax scare

Article Abstract:

California Cosmetics changed its holiday mailer from the traditional piece with return envelope and other inserts to a simple postcard. Costs were kept down and copy read better after editing. The company is optimistic about its return on investment in spite of the ecomonic climate and mood of consumers since September 11th. In fact, the company thinks cosmetics are a recession-proof industry.
