Canadian bank unleashes credit card point-of-sale loyalty program

Article Abstract:

Royal Bank of Canada has launched a promotional campaign in Sep 2000 that is designed to increase customer usage of the bank's co-branded Visa Gold and Visa Platinum credit cards. The credit card customer loyalty program is being handled by Vancouver, British Columbia-based Ernex Marketing Technologies, the bank's wholly owned subsidiary. It is initially being targeted to 60,000 cardholders in Vancouver and will eventually include the bank's 6 million cardholders.

IDial Networks to debut multifunctional debit card

Article Abstract:

IDial Networks is launching a co-branded credit/debit/ATM card in early November 2000 with Merchant Bankcard Services Corp. The new card is aimed at providing consumers with poor credit the chance to oen spending accounts. The Visa debit card, called iDial ChexCard, will provide consumers with an electronic bank account, ATM service and traditional debit card services. It is targeted primarily at a new large population of Latin American immigrants who may have not established credit or have poor credit.

Pointpathbank targets card at incentive companies

Article Abstract:

Pointpathbank will launch a business-to-business campaign in May 2001 to promote the Pointpath Incentive card. The company will send 300 direct mail pieces and e-mail messages, which detail the card's features and direct recipient to visit the Pointpath Incentive card area of Pointpathbank's site. The card is targeted to Fortune 1,000 corporations looking to oofer the employees incentives or rewards programs.
