E2 Communications in Jan 2001 expanded its operations to help Internet marketers in the US as well as in other countries reach markets in Latin America. According to the Dallas, TX-based e-mail marketing solutions provider, it would delegate a team of marketers to concentrate on the emerging market, addressing issues that include translations, legal obstacles and cultural marketing. Latin list business picks up, but with ambiguity
Article Abstract:
Latin America's mailing list industry is seeing the entry of more players and an increase in list quality and reliability. Local list companies are also becoming more in touch with each other and aware of the potential of neighboring markets. US companies, however, are still wary in entering the market or buying and renting lists partly because the Asian financial crisis has undermined confidence in emerging markets.
