E-Stamp expands Net postage solution

Article Abstract:

E-Stamp Corp of San Mateo, CA, is launching a new browser-based Internet postage service called E-Stamp Online that will be released at the latter part of 2000. E-Stamp Online has already been approved for expanded testing by the US Postal Service. It is aimed at consumers and firms that have broadband Internet connections. The service allows the buying and printing of postage from the E-Stamp Web site, www.estamp.com, without hardware or software download.

Essential.com expands direct mail test 'cash' campaign

Essential.com Inc is expanding its direct mail campaign that offered customers a $50 or $100 check if they patronize the company's services. Essential.com, a third-party buyer and manager of energy and telecommunications services for households and small businesses, started the campaign in New York and Massachusetts in 1999. It will now add the East Coast south to Washington in the campaign. Sales VP Ronan Winter said the wider coverage is due to the success of the campaign with response rates three to 10 times the industry average.

Zairmail offers desktop direct mail program

Article Abstract:

Zairmail has rolled out the Zairmail Express Direct service, which allows direct marketers to implement direct mail programs through their computers for delivery in one to two business days. The Zairmail service examines the job, locates production facilities based on factors such as the equipment needed, queue sizes, mail cut-off times and geographic proximity, before routing the campaign for production. The mail pieces are produced on high-speed printing and inserting equipment, and sent to the US Postal Service for delivery.
