Web site partners National Media, Cendant

National Media Corp., an Infomercial marketing company, has joined forces with membership-services marketer Cendant Corp. to set up a shopping service dubbed "Everything-4-Less" that will sell over 500,000 products at low prices to its members through the Internet, indicated National Media executive vice president Bruce Goodman. Goodman clarified that consumers have to be aware of the existence of the club's Web site for it to be successful. Goodman stated that the service will restrict its activities to the US yet may eventually pursue global expansion.

Sharper image's holiday effort avoids DRTV come-ons

The DRTV campaign features the $39.97 Q Ball, talking, clanging blue-and-silver 1990s version of the liquid-filled eight balls. The campaign consists of three branding spots that end with calls to buy the toy in stores, through telephone and via Sharper Images's web site at www.sharperimage.com
