Vanguard is producing Britain's Pico sailboat
Article Abstract:
Vanguard Sailboats Inc Portsmouth, RI, has announced that it is manufacturing the entry-level Pico sailboat that had previously been an import from the UK. Vanguard Pres Chip Johns noted that the Pico is simple to rig, easy to sail, large enough to hold three people and, because its hull is made of plastic, more resistant to scratching/impact damage and easier to repair. The Pico's hull, which can be carried atop a car, will be made by Massachusetts-based Hardigg Industries.
